Earlier this off-season it was announced that the crown jewel of PA Speedweek, the Mitch Smith Memorial at Williams Grove on July 3, is slated to pay $15,000 to win.

In the heart of the PA Posse’s home, Central PA’s marquee event, Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek, has a storied history of being the most anticipated week of racing for 30 years. The coveted title has been won by some of the biggest names in sprint car racing including, Fred Rahmer, Greg Hodnett, Lance Dewease and defending and four-time champion Lucas Wolfe. Current NASCAR stars, Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell have Speedweek wins on their resume. It truly is one of the greatest spectacles in dirt track racing and a must attend event for any race fan.

Mechanicsburg – Lance Dewease muscled past Brian Montieth and then outran Kyle Larson to win the opening night of the 30th annual Red Robin Pennsylvania Speedweek Series for sprint cars at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night.

Dewease earned $5,000 for his 99th career victory at the oval aboard the Don Kreitz-owned No. 69K.

RICO ABREU SCORES A WIN FOR THE INVADERS AT LINCOLN ON NIGHT #4 OF SPEEDWEEK

Abbottstown, PA (June 29, 2020) – Monday night the PA Posse was invaded by the likes of Christopher Bell, Aaron Reutzel and Cory Eliason at Lincoln. With Kyle Larson, Sammy Swindell and Rico Abreu already on the Speedweek circuit the invaders were in full force.
Abreu scored a win for the invaders leading the 30-lap feature wire-to-wire. Rico earned $7,000 for the second PA Speedweek win of his career.
Rico started on the pole with two-time All Star Champion, Aaron Reutzel to his outside.
The lone Posse driver in the redraw for the feature was Ryan Smith and he lined up third for the main event.
When the green flag dropped Rico drove up the track to take Reutzel’s line away going into turn 1 to hold on to the lead. Behind the top two Bell and Smith drag raced back to the line for third with Bell taking the spot coming out of turn 2.

THUNDER ON THE HILL BATTLES MOTHER NATURE AGAIN TUESDAY NIGHT AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY. . . . .
BECHTELSVILLE, PA (June 30, 2020) – A late-race slider led Elks Grove, California’s Kyle Larson to a $10,000 win in the Pennsylvania 410 Sprint Car Speed Week event presented by Red Robin. Ryan Watt of Boyertown, PA picked up the NASCAR 358 Modified victory and $3,000 at Grandview Speedway on Tuesday night, as part of the NAPA Auto Parts Thunder on the Hill Racing Series. With scattered showers over Grandview Speedway from noon to 7 PM, the track crew and staff of Thunder on the Hill was determined to get this event in the books. And they did. The win also earned Kyle Larson his place on the Greg Hodnett Cup and perpetual trophy. Hodnett, a six-time Thunder Champion and nine-time Thunder on the Hill feature winner was remembered Tuesday night after losing his life in a racing accident in 2018.

HAGERSTOWN, MD – Kyle Larson has been using his time back racing Sprint Cars on a regular basis to his advantage of late in collecting quite a few wins over the last few weeks.

Larson, out of Elk Grove, California drove the Paul Silva No.57 to victory at Hagerstown Speedway on Thursday night in a dominating drive to win the Johnny Grum Memorial in Round 7 of Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek.

MECHANICSBURG, PA – Kyle Larson grabbed the lead from Brent Marks and went on to win the Mitch Smith Memorial Friday night at Williams Grove Speedway -the crown jewel of Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek.

Larson’s first career Williams Grove win was worth $15,000. It was his third win of Speedweek and nearly clinched the series championship for the Elk Grove, Calif., driver.

Port Royal Speedway- PORT ROYAL, Penn- (July 5, 2020) Kyle Larson arrived in Central Pennsylvania nine days ago for the 30th Annual Pennsylvania Speedweek presented by Red Robin Gourmet Burgers as one of the hottest drivers in the country. It’s safe to say that after the completion of Saturday night’s 2nd Annual Greg Hodnett Classic at Port Royal Speedway, he’s not just hot, but scorching.

Larson overtook Logan Wagner on lap 10 and held off the heavy pursuit of Brent Marks and Rico Abreu for the remaining 20 laps to pick up his first career win at the Juniata County oval. The win was worth $10, 027 and put the final touches on what was a dominating PA Speedweek for the California native that had him capturing four victories and a championship when all was said and done.
